code 4 error |
Hello
My Zmud will not open.
I am getting a strange error when I try to start it:
Error while unpacking program, code 4. Please report to author.
I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same error. I uninstalled, deleted every file on my computer named viatech, elicense, zuggsoft, zmud and licctrl. Still get the same error. I uninstalled and upgraded to the newest version. And I still get the same error. I even get the same error when I select the uninstall license option.
I think this started happening right after I defragged 2 nights ago. Altho I cant think of why that would cause an error.
If anyone has any idea what this is, I would really apprenciate the help. I love my zmud. and I really want *need* to mud again soon.
Thanks
Sincerely,
Detah

You need to email us directly about this. We can't help with license and registration issues on a public forum. It sounds like something has messed up the copy protection software on your computer. Randomly deleting files named "viatech, elicense, zuggsoft, etc" isn't a very good idea since that can just make the problem worse and make the copy protection system think you are trying to hack zMUD. But the new version of zMUD doesn't use eLicense, so my guess is that something else happened.
Anyway, email us with the details on this. But I've never seen that error on the new copy protection system before so it might take a while to find out what is causing the problem. |
