Sadly no. You can use the search feature of the forums to find the thread on using WineX and I think one other emulator. I believe that at last post someone had gotten everything working and provided good instructions on the necessary tweaks.

Zugg,

I noticed this old notice on the web:

>Coming in 2001:

>zMUD for Linux:
> Borland is releasing a Linux version of their Delphi development
> tool (which is what zMUD is written in) early this year. I was
>supposed to be on the beta testing list, but something happened
>and I never got a beta copy. Once Delphi for Linux (Kylix) is
>released, I'll start to play with it to see how well it works. While a
>direct port of zMUD is out of the question due to Windows-specific
>code in zMUD, I might start a new, cross-platform rewrite of zMUD
>using Kylix. I still haven't decided if Linux users will pay for
>software, so this project is still up in the air. You can donate to
>help this project and show your support for Linux. Timeframe: ???
>(depends on Borland).

Kylix is still alive and kicking - both the Enterprise version and the Open Edition, which I believe is free for open-source development. The download page is at http://www.borland.com/downloads/download_kylix.html . Have you tried it out yet and considered writing ZMudXP for it? Or have you considered releasing the code of ZMud to all or some of the registered ZMud community and allowing THEM to port ZMud? I'm sure they'd be glad to, probably for free, but if not, in exchange for enough free Zugg stuff.

Or, despite this, has the whole Linux idea really been abandoned? More and more geeks are switching to Linux nowadays.

zMUDXP can't be written using Kylix because it uses zApp which has a lot of features unique to windows i believe.

Follow Vijilante's instructions and search for the other linux threads. This has been discussed to death in the past. Yes, I know about Kylix, in fact I have a copy. Kylix is not compatible enough with Delphi to allow a port of zMUD. That's the bottom line. Not to mention all of the copy protection issues that we have already discussed in other threads.
