Help with my old settings in new update

Hi fellow mudders and gamers,

Zmud just asked me to upgrade and I did. Now it does not have any of my characters or my settings scripts etc etc. It just looks like a fresh install.

It installed to a different directory than the other version. I want it in this new directory so thats fine with me.

How do I get these settings scripts etc from my other older version into this new version without having to set them up manually all over again.

I did try to find the answer in other posts.. im sure there is an answer somewhere but I cant see it.

Hope you can help.

Barz

Run your old zMUD directory with your settings. Open settings editor and click File/Export/Txt File and export everything into a text file. Then run your other directory, open settings editor, File/Import/Txt File and import that text file.

I ended up pointing to the old files using preferences it then did something along the lines of converting them.. Now they are no longer visible in the old version ... I really should have backed it all up first :-)..

Thanks for your help I still managed to get the settings in the new version its just a bit messy'er

:-)
