Access Violation When Editing Buttons

Anytime I make a new button or edit an existing button in any way, even if all I do is flip through the tab options, I receive the following message:

Access violation at address 0053E850 in module 'zMUD.exe'.Read of address 00000000.

I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out what's causing this and afterwards, when I close zMUD and reopen it, my global settings are corrupted. I've deleted and reinstalled several times and still seem to come up with the same error. Any ideas? Confused

Sounds like a corrupted settings file. Since your exact situation sounds pretty much like the #1 problem with versions 7.11 or so to 7.13a, I'd suggest you upgrade instead of poking around trying to fix the situation. Not only will you not fix it, the bug that caused it could make things even worse to the point where you might lose all your work.

I did upgrade actually.. this seems to be a recurring issue for me regardless of which version I use. However, I tried deleting my global file and reinstalling the new version again and haven't had that problem since, so perhaps it was something to do with my global settings that was causing the issue.
