[bug 7.13a] Corrupted layout file with status window

Win XP pro
pentium 4 2.4
Fresh install.
Open settings file, offline. Maximise window (window is docked into main toolbar).
Save layout.
Create a blank status window.
Dock status window alongside left hand side of main window (i.e. also into main toolbar).
Save layout.
Now..
If I quit with either file>exit or file>close there are no probs.
If I quit by clicking on the X on the top right of the main output window, next time I try to open the this character, I get a corrupted layout file message. |

Please post reproduceable bugs like this in the Bug Tracking system so that they can get fixed in the future. Thanks.
