Trigger, Alias etc icons vanished |
Probably a simple box I've not ticked somewhere, but I can't seem to retrieve the triggers, aliases, variables icons that used to appear at the top of the character windows. It doesn't matter which mud I'm connected to or whether I'm creating a new character with a clean .mud file. Just doesn't want to display these icons.
Any help appreciated. Ta |

Nope, nothing like that. It's not hidden, it's just not there

You dont suppose you deleted out the inherrant buttons for them? Opening up a new mud i find that there is nothing stopping me from deleting these out entirely, othere then the standard 'are you sure' message.
I would think these would be untouchable like the inherited atconnect alias, unless you made an editable version of it |

Those buttons are kept in the global settings, which as far as I know aren't locked down like inherited settings (if they were, how would you get access to your global variables and aliases?)

either way, if they were deleted, you wouldnt be able to turn them on or off via the prefs menu..
and other then those two methods i dont see how they would disapear |

Tried playing with the inherited settings by copying back old global.mud and default.mud files from a backup of zmud. Still can't seem to get the buttons back.
Very odd. Anything in the zmud.ini that would govern it? |

the settings are in global.mud:
#CLASS 0
#BUTTON 1 {Chars} {#MENU {File|Open}} {} {} {} {} {CHAR} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 2 {Settings} {#MENU {View|All}} {} {} {} {} {FORM} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 3 {Classes} {#MENU {View|Classes}} {} {} {} {} {FOLDOPEN} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 4 {Aliases} {#MENU {View|Aliases}} {} {} {} {} {ALIAS} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 5 {Variables} {#MENU {View|Variables}} {} {} {} {} {VAR} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 6 {Paths} {#MENU {View|Paths}} {} {} {} {} {RUN} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 7 {Triggers} {#MENU {View|Triggers}} {} {} {} {} {TRIGGER} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 8 {Macros} {#MENU {View|Macro keys}} {} {} {} {} {KEY} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 9 {Buttons} {#MENU {View|Buttons}} {} {} {} {} {BUTTON2} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 10 {Prefs} {#MENU {View|Preferences}} {} {} {} {} {PREF} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 11 {Map} {#MENU {Windows|Automapper}} {} {} {} {} {MAP} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 12 {DB} {#MENU {Windows|Database}} {} {} {} {} {BOOKOPEN} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top} {} {}
#BUTTON 13 {Quit} {#MENU {File|Exit}} {} {} {} {} {ARROW1R} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} "" {Explore|Top|Right} {} {}
goto 'Settings', 'Global Settings...' and see if those buttons are defined? |

All there, all defined. There are also a couple of extra global variables I use that are working fine, so it's not that zmud just isn't using the global.mud, it just seems to be skipping these buttons.
