zMud Crashes on Start |
Okay finally decided to upgrade from 555, so I download and install 7.05..
boot up crashes with exception error, read forum and find the elicense thing followed it...guess what I see absolutely nothing in services for elicense control....so I check the reg nada there either... It seems my install did not put anything into the registry or services for elicense, I checked my computer from top to bottom nothing... would like to eventually get this working to I can at least "TRY" the new features since I have been using this program since the first version came out... anyway thanks for any and all help you can provide.

Application popup: Zmud.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
This is the error I am getting when I try to run it.
Not sure if this will help but my system is as follows.
Acer Ferrari 3200
Mobil AMD Athon 64 2800+
2.00 GB of Ram

the service won't appear as "elicense". It will instead appear as "LicCtrl" or something very similar. If it's not there, download again and reinstall. You HAVE to be in administrator mode so that the appropriate system stuff (ie, the elicense service) can be added and activated; if you aren't, Windows will prevent it from happening and you end up with problems much like you are currently having.
Once installed, run it once in Admin mode so that eLicense can initialize itself and after that do whatever you wish. |

I know that, I was looking for anything new under services...nada...it did not put anything under services, as for being an admin...ditto, always install programs as admin login, tried a 2nd comp, same exact thing, tried three different downloads.. nada.. going back to 5.55 it works for me and no headaches...thanks though.
