Help with replacing mud output w/my preferences |
Hey all,
I've tried to read and experiment with the tutorials, example scripts, etc. to do what I'm sure for most of you will seem a fairly simple task. Unfortunately, all I've managed to do is totally mess up the MUD output.
Anyway - what I'm trying do, simply is take some output from the MUD, like:
This is a heavy leather brown back pack. It has all sorts of pockets for putting things in and the inside is especially deep for storing small weapons and a bedroll.
The hunter's pack has two side pockets and one main pocket.
It is over half full with: four lightable torches, a small piece of paper, a cotton pinafore, a pair of heavy cotton breeches, a mostly rotten large loaf of bread, a white desert robe, a sickle, a meat cleaver, a dagger, a cured steak, an unsharpened spear and a lantern.
It is open.
It is in excellent condition.
I simply want to highlight or color everything after:
The hunter's pack has two side pockets and one main pocket.
and end the coloring before:
It is open.
Most of the things I want to do on the MUD are pretty much similar to this.
One other example is I want to colorize only a portion of a line from the MUD:
Your purse contains one Ankh-Morpork dollar and 47 Ankh-Morpork pence.
Having 'Your purse contains' be one color, and everything after that be another color
Any suggestions, pointers to examples, etc...most welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading!

#trigger {It is over half full with: (*).} {#pcol %x1 add your color value here (depending on what you want, this could be words or a number (without quotes)--ie, "blue,bold" or "96")}
