why dose this happen ù |
dose anyone know why this ù appears from time to time
it happens randomly and not very often but when it dose happen it well stop triggers from fireing by changing the pattern the tirgger fires on. now i have ask anuir about it and they say it must be the client |

I don't know about the professionals on here, but I guess I'd need to see an example or two of when it's happening. Without that, I'd be more inclined to suspect the mud or the connection to the mud than the client.

This is most likely the MUD. Um... i think it happens sometimes when they use a null string or something? Can't remember :p

I see that sometimes. And I dont think its the mud but I dont know for sure.
Ive tried to duplicate it on several occations but failed. When I see it most is when im in a hurry and moving from room to room in a frantic manor. IE last time I saw it I was in combat and I was stunned (couldnt move and fixing to die) and I was typing in move directions real quick to try and get out when I became unstunned. Needless to say I moved about 20 spaces all at once and 1/2 way through the rooms got that stupid char which made the mapper think I found a new room and started an overlapping room trail. Its so infrequent (from my experience) I wouldnt bother to purse it very hard. |

Often that is caused by the MUD sending an invalid Telnet Option request to zMUD. You should report this to the MUD coders for the MUD you are playing.

thanks guys... and yes it realy only happens when im in a panic too
but thats also when i need the client the most so if there is anyway to make zmud ignor that silly little charactor and maby even remove it from the text so other triggers can fire that would be great. also the mud i play the anuir im pritty shur wouldnt care that that random symble is screwing with my client as using clients is discouraged for how powerfull they can be and unfar to the people that dont have them |
