Sounds like eLicense didn't install properly. You can try uninstalling again (be sure to get the elicense uninstaller) and reinstalling, but you might end up having to talk to eLicense themselves.

No, this isn't an eLicense problem. It's usually an ADO/MDAC problem.
The first thing to do is run the ZSCONVERT.EXE program and then exit it. This will register the ZsConvert class in case that didn't get registered during the installation.
If it still fails, then it's ADO/MDAC. Go to http://www.zuggsoft.com/data and follow the instructions given there. If you are using Windows XP, run the Windows Update and make sure all service packs and patches are installed. Sometimes the only way to fix this is to do a Reinstall of Windows from your original CD using the Repair option (and then reinstall all the patches).
And yeah, don't you just love these stupid Microsoft error messages that don't even bother to tell you *what* class isn't registered. This is one of the most useless error messages Windows gives and it's nearly impossible to totally figure out what the problem is. In many cases the software on the disk is fine and it's just the registry entries that are messed up, and many times their installers don't fix the registry entries. |
