Database Key variables and triggers

Ok i have a database called ch
ch has name hp hpmax etc in it....
is there a way to make a trigger that will trigger off @ch.hp
like
#trigger {You see @ch.hp here.} {doblah}
or something?
i havent being able to figure out how to get a database key to work in a trigger |

Are you using an actual database, as in the DB window is open and has multiple records, or are you using a record variable by the name of "CH"?
