Find the missing file (search your storage device - especially the OS folders) and move it into the zmud directory. Start zmud then close it. move the file back to it's original folder.

free zmud = unsupported.
If you figure out what needs to be done, perhaps you could start a forum on your own webpage that offers support for the free version of zmud. There are plenty of people who'd greatly appreciate that, but most everyone visiting these forums haven't used the free version in over five years.

The Free version of zmud will not Run on XP period! Again for the umpteenth time It will not run on XP. It even says so in the download description. This is Why

XP=32 bit os 16 bit programs won't work
Free Zmud=16 bit Program

I haven't tried with zMUD in specific, but XP's "Backwards Compatibility" feature (which you can access with by right-clicking the .exe file and select properties upon) could work for it. (note.. COULD, since I don't have XP installed atm I can't really download and try)

I know it's worked for various other old Win 16-bit applications and old Dos apps.

Actually I was reading someones site where it showed that if you
downloaded and ran the Realms of Despair client then ran ZMud 3.62, it
it would run perfectly fine on windows XP. I am not sure of the reasons
behind this, but I told it to a friend and they got it to work. More power to
them in my opinion.
