'Record is deleted' automapper crashes |
I have been looking on this board to see if anyone else has been having trouble with the automapper crashing zMUD, but I haven't seen it.
The crash usually happens when deleting an unwanted link with the eraser tool. The link is erased, and a dialog box reading "Record is deleted" appears. And then another one, and then another one. The only way to escape the immortal dialog box is to kill the zMUD task.
I also have problems with links that I have deleted using the "exits" window still showing up in the map view, and the text in the tabs not corresponding to the red-box-selected room.
If these are not known issues, I'l try to come up with a minimal way to reproduce the problems.
I'm running the latest public release on Windows XP. [:o)] |

I found I could kill the automapper window when this happened to me & restart it - Zmud carried on with no problems. I had it occur when I deleted a room which the current position was in, although I haven't checked that it is reproducible that way.

In my work on zMapper I have encountered this error also in some situations after deleting a room or link. I've been fixing a lot of bugs regarding this that will be added to the next zMUD update and haven't had this "Record is deleted" message in a while now, so hopefully it's fixed.

Alright, I played wotmud last night, and I do remember adding and then deleting a few rooms, like 5 or so.
Today zmud halts at "loading exits...", with the "Record is deleted" message. It then just hangs there with an hour glass. However, I can exit that character and open another and so on.
How can I fix this issue? This map has a lot of hours put into it, and I'm not really in the mood to check how much I changed since the last backup.
I'm running zmud 7.05 dated 16 nov. 2004. |
