DNS troubles |
My connection seems to have DNS troubles . I noticed this because Internet Explorer complained that www.zuggsoft.com/www.emobius.com/forums.zuggsoft.com didn't exist...
How am I then posting this? I have added the IP to this host in my hosts file.
>nslookup www.zuggsoft.com
Server: *censored*
Address: *censored*
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? The DNS server replies to pings and looks up other hosts fine. |

I would Give it a couple of hours for your ISP's DNS servers to reguritate I mean repopulate. But it could be worse my ISP went a whole day without DNS lookups and I BADLY needed to check my web-email :P

It still doesn't work! This is really amazing. The DNS system my ISP has is really bad and this is yet a proof of it.

You might want to try using another set of DNS servers. I'm not sure how things work over in Sweden, but on my ISP around here I have been able to use the DNS server of another ISP without any trouble. Maybe the servers the next hop up from your ISP would work?
