New site header?

Opinions on the new site header? Yes, that's Pike's Peak, which is the major mountain in Colorado Springs. Not quite the view from our house, but close. Did some Photoshop work to get the original image wide enough for 1024x768 browser windows.

Not an opinion, but reactions after scrolling up and seeing the new header:
1. Very pretty, clean-looking, all-around cool header.
2. Hey, that really reminds me of my IRA-rollover Mutual Fund's logo.
3. Like the concept behind choosing a mountain for a financial institution, the new header brings to mind strength, endurance, longevity.
4. The new header relates confidence, assurance, no-nonsense. A real break from zMud's sometimes-whimsical and fanatical user-base and a shift toward a trusted software entity. Very good move for the zApp/eMobius image and new crowd who will be looking at the new products.

Yeah I think it looks good, nice view if that's almost what you get from your house :)

Perhaps clean up the right-hand edge for those of us with wider browsers than 1024... the photo ends abruptly, you probalby should just fade it to the background colour... but doesn't really detract too badly :)

Anyone know how to "fade to the background" using PaintShop Pro 5?

Check yer email and see if they're any use... wouldn't have a clue how to do it with paint shop, you should buy adobe photoshop when the zApp sales take off :)

Hey Rainchild, I haven't seen anything in my email. Try emailing them to sales@zuggsoft.com in case it got spam filtering somehow. Since we moved to WolfPaw we started using SpamAssassin to delete stuff and I don't have a lot of experience with how much it's deleting yet.

Hehe, naughty spam killers, you should add me to your white list ;)

I'll re-send when I get home.

Hmm, I still never got anything. How about trying marko@zuggsoft.com

That's the last thing I can think of. Well, also put 'zmud' in the subject or something since that also usually overrides the spam filter. When I get it I can look to see what's causing the problem.

Sorry Zugg, that's my bad - I got forced into some major overtime the last 2 days (eg home at 11:30pm) and straigt to bed rather than turning on the PC...

But now that that deadline has passed, I'll redo it here at work ... gimme a sec :)

Thanks Rainchild! Sorry the email was such a pain. But your picture does a nice job at transitioning to the background and is now live on the site!!
