Failure to Update Map Position during slow walk

Hey All,

I am currently running Win XP and Zmud 7.04. I don't run 7.05 since onwalkend doesn't work with slow walk in Zmud 7.05.

I have a bug while slow walking with the mapper up during the following scenario:
1. #WALK to a room a couple of rooms away while the mapper is set to slow walk. Lets say I am in room 1, and I am trying to get to room 3.
2. #PAUSE in room 2 before the room was confirmed, or don't do #OK or #STEP.
3. The mapper shows me to still be in room 1.

If I confirm room 2 with #OK, the slow walk will send the dir to get to room 3 which I don't want to do since I have something I need to do in room 2 still.

I possibly could use %lastdir and forcefully update my position on the map, but this is a little hackish and I would like to avoid doing this if possible.

I have my own #TAG trigs and all, that seems to work just fine if I am not slow walking with #WALK, meaning if I enter the commands by hand it works fine.

My mapper configuration is below:
Version: 211
Name Start: -1
Desc Start: -1
Desc End: -1
Exit Start: -1
Exit End: 0
Exit in Prompt: 0
Exit in Name: 1
Exit contains key: 0
Name paragraph: 0
Desc paragraph: 0
Exit paragraph: 0
Bracket prompt: 0
Short exit names: 1
vNum in Name: 0
Exit keyword: exit
Exit after keyword: 0
Match room name mode: 0
Use Descriptions: 0
Entire exit paragraph: 0
Single char exit: 0
Autoprompt detect: 0
Complex prompt: 0
Prompt char: >
Name ends in period: 0
Number prompt: 0
No MUD Prompt: 0
Room Name Propercase: 0
Prompt trigger:
Prompt Regex: 0
Description changes: 0
[Map Script]

[Map Explore Script]

[End]

Thanks,

Robert

Unless you can verify this bug with 7.05 it is pretty pointless to post bugs from an older version there were ALOT of changes between 7.04 and 7.05

Lots of examples on this forum if ya do a search:
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=16704&highlight=onwalkend

You even said it was 'borken' in this post:

Anyway, hopefully someone will be able to answer my question even though I use 7.04.

Thanks,

Robert

My fault I over quoted :P I was reffering to your post about the slow walk commands not working like the should

The 7.0 series consisted of ALOT of major changes to the mapper, yes onwalkend is borken in 7.05 but that doesnt mean that the slow walking commands are. Although I have noticed a few irregularites with slowwalk commands in 7.05 they are still on my to-reproduce list

I also think I wrote an onwalkend replacement for 7.05

Ah, no problem. I didn't mean to say it was a Zmud bug or not. It very well could be with how I am using the mapper/slow walking. I have read the http://www.zuggsoft.com/library/speedwalking.htm webpage on speedwalking, and it says that #PAUSE should "confirms the direction just sent to the MUD" but it does not seem to update my position on the Mapper. Perhaps it is a bug in 7.04 that was fixed in 7.05 or perhaps it "confirms" by stopping the Slow Walk Timer, but doesn't confirm the map movement.

Anyway, any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks!

Robert
