disabling autoreconnect from within a trigger

Hi guys, this is my first post. i have been all over this forum for most of my previous questions and until now have never needed to ask. You guys are super helpful. Anyhow, here is my situation. Basically my mud allows bots only for the purpose of training spells, not stats (yea, its one of those muds), so i run a bot to train my spells up.
the problem i come across is that my connection at home is dropped every 12 hours, so i need to be able to reconnect automatically.
the second conflict within this, is that i want to be able to quit if a player enters my area and NOT reconnect automatically.
the quick and skinny:
within my trigger definition, i am seeking a way to disable the autoreconnect feature.
i have already determined that i could disable the autolog portion of the reconnect, but that would tie up MUD resources with me sitting there connected to it.
thanks for any help!
