Need help to toggle a trigger on or off

I need to be able to turn a trigger off, and turn another on depending on what circumstance I am in. I can use the settings to create the triggers, but I have no idea on the syntax for turning them on and off or if I can use the settings editor to do that as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

1. Highlight the trigger.
2. Click on the options tag
3. Give the trigger an ID. example: Foo
4. Save
5. Now to turn off or on the trigger refer to the ID tag
example:
Turn on trigger
#T+ Foo
Turn off trigger
#T- Foo |
