Mapper configuration "prompt char"

I am having a problem with my mapper. I had it set up so that it would work fine with my main char, but now i've started playing a different character which has different abilities. One of these is to see in the dark. Here is where the problem comes in. My mapper had previously been set up with the prompt char box having " * " in it, since this is the first character when it is daylight and one cannot see room name/desc anyway when it is night out. Since my new character can see in the dark, sometimes there will be an " o " at the beginning of the prompt, and so the mapper does not see the move as being finished for some reason.

I first thought "ok, simple fix, just get rid of the prompt char thing altogether". This did not work. When I did that, it instead made it so that it would move my position on the map, but would not clear the mapper que, and would thus mess up on subsequent movements. I also tried messing around with the Prompt Trigger pattern box, but it seemed to do nothing at all no matter what I put in there, and would not be really helpful since different characters of mine have different prompts anyway. The reconfigure was also no help with this problem. Can anyone help with this? Is there some way to have either/or for the "prompt char"? Or something else I could do instead.... Thanks for any help you can give.

Oh, just thought of this, here's some sample prompts (quotations marks around prompts themselves):

"o HP:Hurt MV:Fresh >" <-------This one it is dark in the room.
"* HP:Wounded MV:Tiring >" <---This one it is light.

These same prompts can also have a third value in the middle, MP, depending on what character I am logged in as.
eg:

"* HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Strong >"

For the prompt trigger pattern i tried several things, including just *HP* which you would think would capture anything with "HP" in it, but didn't do anything. Nothing I put in there seemed to have any affect on what the mapper was doing.

Ok in the prompt settings for you mapper uncheck and clear everything.

in the prompt pattern put
Code:
^(?:\*|(?:o)) HP:

Check perl reg expression and Both wait for prompts.

Close the settings and you should be good to go *do not reconfigure*

If that fails to work (I have faith it will) go back and also check allow blank line to trigger.
and if that fails to work
Uncheck everything except regex (keep the same pattern though) .
