The strip " quotes option in zmud

im writing a script where im sending an URL thats in an var to an outside program using launch...this works fine and dandy besides i need the url surrounded in "" to make the program read it right im sending it to, after many hours of jacking with it i found the above option i could turn off and on, turning it off makes what i want to happen happen, exept it screws up ALOT of other scripts i have, is there any way to make the "" in just this one variable not strip? ive tried doubling them ive tried putting a ~ in front of them, no work, someone? Anyone?

Post the exact script you are having trouble with to get more help on this. Putting a ~ in front of them should normally work, but without seeing the script it's hard to help.
