XML and Simutronics

The decision to support Simutronics GSL codes has significantly eased my programing effort and therefore my enjoyment of both zMUD and Dragonrealms.

Sinutronics now has a new front end that is apparently XML driven. The old intervaces are still available however.

My question is: are there any plans for zMUD to support the Simutronics XML? Failing that is this something I should be able to provide in a plug in?

Of course there is still the question of weather Simutronics cares to share their XML specifications? I'll take that up over on their boards. Smile

The short answer to your questions are:

Zugg's contract with Simu did not stipulate any upgrades, so for the new XML to be fully supported, Simu would have to offer him a new contract for him to code it all. However, GM Natala has stated that she intends to include the new features of the StormFront Frontend into the existing GSL codes sometime in the near future.

If you could write a plug-in to support the XML, a few of us would possibly use it, but if Natala still intends to do the GSL support for new features, I'd personally prefer to not rewrite all my scripts that use GSL.
