Loading Map Error

I am trying to load a map and am receiving the following error message: "KindTbl: Cannot perform this operation on a closed dataset."
I am using the map successfully with another character, and would like to use it with a different character that has its own set of triggers and aliases. I've tried a number of different things in an attempt to get this map to work, including copying it and changing its name, and the name of the configuration file. I can use a different map with the second character just fine. Also, I am NOT using the characters at the same time.
Help will be greatly, greatly appreciated!
