Unknown error in zMud

I start up zMud, but can't do anything. I click on any of the buttons, or menu items, and it gives me a popup window with the title zMUD, and it contains the error "Unknown."

Keeps me from doing anything in zMud, including quitting. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I assume you've tried rebooting the computer after an error like that...

If rebooting doesn't fix it, I'd try deleting the startup.ini file in your zMUD directory. It'll destroy your character icons, so be sure to back it up first, so you can easily recreate them.

If that still doesn't work, I'd try backing it up, and downloading and installing a nice fresh copy of the program.

Try these steps, and if you're still having trouble, post again, and we'll brainstorm some other possible solutions.

Before I posted this, I had reinstalled zmud from a freshly downloaded copy. Of course also rebooted.

Removing startup.ini does nothing. Recreates it upon startup, with the same errors.
