Problem re-starting logging with 5.55 after a crash

I use zMUD 5.55 and Win98.

example:
-I start to log in qwerty.txt, I log there few thousand lines
-System crashes and zMUD is stopped in middle of logging text into qwerty.txt file.
-After reboot and re-starting zMUD it informs that its again logging into qwerty.txt.
-However when inspected you notice that no new logging text is written into the file.

I guess when computer crashes zMUD doesnt get a chance to write some endoftheline or endofthetext mark into qwerty.txt file and becos this is lacking it doesnt really start logging again.

Of course starting a new log file or editing the corrupted one with a texteditor(by writing some text in the end of the file and then saving) solves the problem but I hardly ever remember to do those.

I was wondering if there is some way to use #file and #write or something like that to write the needed mark to the current logfile(I dont even know whats missing from the corrupted file) etc... automatically everytime I log into my mud.

Thanks in advance :)

In v7.05 there is:
View->Settings->Preferences->General
then Logging

Log Autosave interval (local)

Specifies the number of minutes before automatically saving the log file. To turn off autosaving, set this value to 0. Default is 5.

If that ancient version doesn't have it, it might be worth upgrading to the latest, perhaps faster client revision.
