boy am i lost |
Okay, I just had to download version 7.05 and I was using 6.40 zmud before. I just feel so lost and confused everytime i open the program up, like the new prompt window how it isnt part of the main one again, and then logging a second character and it switches back to the main window too fast, then everything else tosses me for a loop. Sorry to sound like a newbie, but ive been using zmud since 3.62 and fully support it, its just confusing me right now.

Lets try this. List your problems on different lines. Be as descriptive as you can when telling your problems and you'll be sure to get answers.
Some of it may just be new to you. I remember when I went from Gmud to zMUD. I thought I would never get half of what zMUD does. Some of it will just come with time. |

Okay I guess really to start it off, is when i used to multicharacter on 6.40, it used to bring it up nicely into two tabbed seperate windows and it was very easy to switch back and forth between them. but with 7.05 i get all kinds of windows for prompts and it shows all kinds of abnormal output.
My other problem is the fact that the prompt has its own window now, I just wish it would still just display on the bottle of the screen like it did in versions 6.40 and below. |

My best guess is that you were using the Smart Multiple or Smart Single layout. They are no longer available. I don't know why Zugg took them out, but I would guess they were difficult to support with the enhancements he wanted to add. You'll have to create the desired layout yourself.
There is no difference between the prompt window in version 7.05 and version 5.55, I just checked. However, if you don't like the prompt window and find it distracting, there are other ways to input information. I don't recall the #PROMPT command ever just displaying on the bottom of the screen. |
