i found a few plugins that *might* work
go to http://www.wmplugins.com/ItemList.aspx?typeid=7

theres like 4 or 5 that could work, you'll have to read the descriptions of them at the side
if you find one and edit the script to work with windows media player for me, i'd be so happy and would really appreciate it Mr. Green

I looked over all three pages of the link you gave and while there are some things that might come close to what would be needed, nothing is right on the money that I saw. If you could, please tell me the specific plug-ins you think might handle the job and give the direct link to them. I'll look closer and see if I can work anything out.

i think i got it working
the only reason i wanted one for win med player is because when i tried to have winamp search for music in "My Music" folder, it could only find like 7 artists, but when i opened the file it found everything
now i just had to highlight everthing in that file, and "Enqueue to Winamp", then check the "auto-add played items" in the options thing and go to next, next, next, next, til i get thru every song
ugh what a pain
so never mind about the one for media player, and thanks anyways Confused

any idea what is causing all these problems?
i installed this Dolby Surround Sound plugin thing for it that enhances winamp's sound.. could maybe that be it?

If that was your problem I could have given you the link for a great Winamp Media Library plug-in. Well, it is actually a replacement for Winamp's Library but I think it is 100x better.

If you're still interested, check out http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=144458

I have never had those problems when trying to close zMUD. Reply with your system specs, what version of zMUD you're using, and what version of Winamp you are using and I'll see if anything looks strange.

As for the stuff not working, make sure you hit F2 to make the COM connection to Winamp. F3 turns it all off.

I need your system specs, too. What processor speed, how much RAM, what version of Windows, etc.

*clears throat*

RTFM! Razz

Glad to hear you got it all working. I don't think I included a ReadMe.txt in the zip file so I may be adding one of those here shortly. If you have any more questions or suggestions, feel free to reply.

and i noticed one thing
i wasnt connected to the mud so i just did this:
#show Asf tells you 'zmudamp status'

and it tries to :
tell Asf Sorry, I'm not listening to any music right now.

when i *did* have a song running, it was even showing up on the zmud screen on that one large button
strange..

I think I looked at toggle and put it on the list of stuff to do. I'll double check over the weekend. As for the triggers, I'll look at those, too.

it's the @winamp status variable. when its playing, the var still = 1

Yeah, I think I meant to take that out in v2.2 which I apparently have a screenshot for but the wrong code. . .No clue how I did that.

I did add shuffle and repeat buttons for v2.2 which I'll try to push out this weekend. I'm going to take the code I have now and see how I can revamp it and try to remove things that I don't think should be in there.

Also, I would like more suggestions for features if anyone out there has any.

how about whenever the song changes, it sends this to the mud: music @song
shows your song across the "music" line
?
could that be possible?

and i noticed this script causes lots of MUD-lag and computer lag
causes programs to close / open much slower than they should
probably because it has to change a variable every second and then update the button at the top.. any way it could be done a diff way so it doesnt lag so mucH?

The song change display is a good idea. I'll put that in v2.2.

I've never had lag from the script. I ran it on a Celeron 1.6 GHz with 1 gb of ram before upgrading to my AMD Athlon 2500+ and never had any problems. You might want to make sure you're not getting the problems from too many programs open and low system resources. Also ensure you're clean of spy/adware.
