Command queing?

Need some ideas on how to tackle this problem.
In Achaea it is possible for someone to cause you to have an affliction. To cure these afflictions you need to eat a specific herb.

Now, I've set up some triggers to automatically eat the herb once I have been afflicted, for example:

Pattern : You gasp as your fine-tuned reflexes disappear into a haze of confusion.

Value : eat kelp

the problem is that there is a delay before you can eat another herb. At which point you get the message 'You may eat another plant.'

This is a problem because you are often afflicted with several things at once, and so end up eating herbs before you are able to, and so wasting the herb, and not cureing the affliction.

Has anyone got any idea how to solve this?

My idea was to set send the required herbs to a list, and then working through the list each time I get the 'You may eat another plant.' message. However, I'm new to Zmud and am not sure how to do this, or if there is a simpler way

#VAR herblist {}
#TR {You gasp as your fine-tuned reflexes disappear into a haze of confusion.} {eatherb kelp}
#AL eatherb {#IF (@herblist) {#ADDI herblist {%-1}} {#ADDI herblist {%-1};eat %-1}}
#TR {You may eat another plant.} {#DELN herblist 1;#IF (@herblist) {eat %item( @herblist, 1)}}

If you might want the same herb listed more than once, change the alias to:
#AL eatherb {#IF (@herblist) {#VAR herblist {%additem( %-1, @herblist)}} {#ADDI herblist {%-1};eat %-1}}

This is a common approach to a frequently covered topic. A Search of the forums would probably save you a lot of time.
