illegal operation

I've purchased the license for zmud and have been using it for a few months. Recently, I haven't been able to run it. When I try to start it up, one of those illegal operation windows popped up.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it (7.01) and also, downloading the latest version and installing that, but neither has worked. I also noticed that a few days ago, it didn't recognize that I had a license and reset my trial period for 30 days.

What Windows version are you currently running? In some windows versions you get a memory leak in kernel32.dll, which is I believe the digital link library that windows uses to keep up with memory usage and things(not 100% on that one), but try running a windows update and downloading all critical updates.
