i have new_line set to off, but i am getting a blank line after every command. i found out thats its the prompt cuz when i changed it to > from a blank space it started giving me a bunch of > instead of blanks. never had this problem in 6.16, is there a setting or something somewhere in 7.02 to turn this off?

It depends on the codebase of the Mud I would guess. What Mud are you playing exactly?
For a SMAUG based Mud the command to turn this off is config -blank
Or perhaps you're gagging your prompt or something similar? This will unfortunately give a blank line, it's a 'feature' of #GAG. |

Playing on Realms of the Dragon. With zmud 6.16 if i hit like, 20 commands at once it would go >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> on one line, but with 7.02 it'll go > on 20 different lines. not using #gag or anything.

I always get extra newlines with the default configuration, but turning off the extra protocol emulations makes that go away. Try turning off stuff like GA/EOR, MCP, etc. and see if that makes a difference.
