You can try emailing owner of acespedia.com to see if he can help you solve the problem. I just tried updating mine and it didn't give an error message. Have you tried re installing ac explorer into empty directy and replacing the ini file with acspedia one?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did try reinstalling AC Explorer and replacing the .ini file with the ACSpedia file. After uninstalling the original AC Explorer I even searched the registry and deleted all references to the program before reinstalling. No luck. |

Well, if it's saying '.asp?date', then it's wrong. It needs to be '.aspx?date'. I just finally decided to get 'pro' so I could possibly use multiple portal settings, and I had to go and fix it manually...the dloaded file didn't work.
The relevant section from my INI is a bit different than yours:
----------------------------------------
[AC-Spedia_DB]
File=places.dat
URL=http://www.acspedia.com/places/
Enabled=1
Format=0
URLFull=places.aspx
URLSince=places.aspx?date=%m/%d/%y
URLAdd=
URLGet=
URLSuspect=
LastUpdate=21/06/2004
RefNum=1
----------------------------------------
cut'n'paste and give it a try! |
