opening doors with mapper

Hi all,

In version 7.0 when walking around the mud with the automapper every time when I came to a door zmud would replace my direction with the command to open the door.
For example s would become (open s;s) however the mud I play on doesn't understand it.
I was quite happy when in version 7.02 it was open s;s so the () were removed.
However now in version 7.03 they are back again.....how I tell zmud not to put those () around open s;s?
Thnx already

Skyfox.

See the mapper's configuration in the Strings and Doors page to control what is done when a door is seen.

I looked there but it simply says: unlock %1;open %1
there no () and if i add something there it not seems to notice it.
:( I tried setting walking to fast/safe/slow....but it doesn't help
sometimes it does it without the () but most of the time they are around the command the mapper sends....really odd.

Things are even more odd as I thought. I have more then one char in zmud using that map and I noticed today that one char works perfectly ok with the mapper and the open door and move command are without the () however with another character they are always there.
The chars both use the same map. Will look in the character files to see if there is a difference there or does anybody know where this difference can come from?

I believe the one that isn't working correctly has the Movement character turned off in the Preferences|Special Characters.

Thanks! That seems to have been the problem indeed.
No idea why it was turned off for that char...but turned it on and mapper works like a charm again.
