How do you go up?

I have my first level walls, but I want to make "steps" going up the second level, is there a key that goes "up" to start on the second level or something?

If you are using keyboard creation then minus will move up and plus will move down. If you are just placing rooms with the mouse then click the up/down arrows on the level indicator.
