An involved Script |
Hey guys,
You have helped me so much in the past, I figured what better place to get some ideas.
What I have is a script that searches for tokens (items in our game). Dwarves have a natural affinity for finding them since they are shiny. I am trying to create a script that will search for them buy "random teleportation" which is already taken care of, and "scan"ing.
The way ours is, is that with farsight it shows, "Nearby North" "nearby West" etc. It only shows the heading if there is something that way.
What I am wondering is, so I dont have to basically make the same function for each and every one, is there a way to sort of define the function.
EX. do a scan, and it shows "Nearby to the east" and has what we are looking for, it goes there, comes back, and re-scans, OR keeps it in memory from the first scan.
As you can see, with being able to see 3 rooms away, there is the possibility for 12 functions, and it would be so much more simple if there is a way to "prototype" this. Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
