List a list with an alias.

I've been browsing various topics but I couldn't really find what I was looking for. I'm using Zmud 3.62a, simply because I cannot afford to purchase the later more extended version.

In a game I play I have to use certain items for certain quests, you can pick these up while you explore some land. For example:

pie123 "A delicious pie"
cake22 "A rotting cake"

Now I can view these items by examining my inventory closley, but I'd like to have an alias like "Show_cake" and when I type that it should list the items pie123 and cake22. But, I have no clue how? Because, how do I pick these items from my inventory and display them in a list?

Some help is very much appreciated.

I think with a version that old, you're on your own. I don't remember when zMUD introduced list variables, which would make your task easier.

In the latest version you could create an alias that would #gag everything until the next mud prompt, list your inventory (gagged, so you don't see it), then #show the lines that match cake or pie.

That might even be possible in the version you've got, but I'm not sure.

I just checked the helpfiles:

Syntax: #GA pattern
Related: #UNGAG

Could you maybe explain how I should use it?
