Taking control of the Mapper

In the mud I play there is a small map to the left of the description. Actually here is an example:

Code:

<8800/8800hp 5667/5667m 4529mv> n

+---------+   Before a large forest
|         |   [ north south ]
|   -1-   |   A small path leads south towards a large forest.  From here
|    |    |   large trees can be seen that reach high up in the sky to a
|    *    |   lovely rainbow.  The rainbow contains many different colors and
|    |    |   the end of the rainbow seems to be somewhere in the forest
|   -1-   |   nearby a small lake.  An old road sign has been placed on the
|    |    |   ground here.
+---------+

A large green frog is here.

<8800/8800hp 5667/5667m 4528mv>
A Frog wanders to the South.

<8800/8800hp 5667/5667m 4533mv>

As you can see it is a mess to get the mapper to work with Smile. Now I have managed to parse the description myself and put it into a variable:
quote:

name=Before a large forest|exits=north south|desc=A small path leads south towards a large forest. From here
large trees can be seen that reach high up in the sky to a
lovely rainbow. The rainbow contains many different colors and
the end of the rainbow seems to be somewhere in the forest
nearby a small lake. An old road sign has been placed on the
ground here.

However the issue now is that the mapper and my trigger doesn't like eachother. Sometimes the mapper decides to add the last description to the new one, and so on. A "perfect" solution would be to turn off the mapper's functionality and only let the triggers do the work. The issue with that though is that #TAG doesn't work when the "description" option is turned off in the configuration of the mapper. Ok so we can use %roomdesc instead you might think but the room might not even be created yet. I don't think it is created until it sees the prompt.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Use #TAG triggers for your roomname, exits, and prompt. Turn off capturing of the description in the Mapper config. Set the description with %roomdesc in the onroomcreate alias.
