A few problems updating

I have an older registered version, and the faq says I should not have to re-register older versions. I am trying to update to v6.62, but it is not registered when I do so. What do I need to do? Thanks.

In order to give people who tried zMUD in the past a new free trial, Zugg will sometimes make the newest versions think they are distinct from the older ones and thus not see that the trial has already been used up. The good news that while it thinks it is distinct, it really isn't on the server side... in order to get set up, you can unlicense the older version and then license the newer version (or just license the new version if one of your three licenses is currently unused).

You can do this in the eLicense Control Panel (go to the Control Panel and, switching to classic view if necessary, open the eLicense Control). Inside Zugg Software, you should be able to right-click the old version to unlicense it (copy the order ID down here) and then right-click the new version to license it with that order ID.
