Remoting question |
I am considering making a purchase of zMapper (already own zMUD) to do automapping with another client program that I also purchased. My question to you all is: can I command zMapper through COM, DDE, or any form of remote interface? I'm a proficient coder, and I'm not scared of writing my own components to get the communications going, but I'd like to know if it's possible, and, if so, what's the best method?
Thanks. |

Yes. There is documentation in the zMapper help file on the COM interface for it.

Actually, I need to amend that. zMapper by itself doesn't have any COM interface. It's only when zMapper is used with zMUD that there is a COM programming interface. So unfortunately, using the standalone zMapper you won't have any way to control it externally.
