Can't Quit Zmud in WindowsXP--Help

I keep getting an Unable to write to c:Zmud616zmud.ini error message when I quit a mud game. Then I get a Out of System Resources message after that. I have to do a CNTL+ALT+DELETE to cancel my ZMUD. I am using the latest version of ZMUD, no betas. Running WindowsXP on a Gateway. I don't know why it wants to write to zmud.ini file when I exit a mud, either. Is this a known bug of the current version of ZMud? What is this zmud.ini file anyway? Can it be deleted?

Thanks.

This may well be wrong, but have you checked to see if C:zmud616zmud.ini is read only or not? If it is, try making it writable?

It's not a read only file and the error doesn't occur everytime, but often enough that I think it's a ZMud application problem. Any ideas?

Pure conjecture: Make a back up of everything, rename zmud.ini to zmudini.bak and run zMud?

See if it rebuilds and fixes your problem? Maybe you have a corruption in that file.

It wouldn't let me rename it, but somehow I got the contents emptied and WindowsXP created a new zmud.ini file. When I started ZMud, it acted as if I was a new user just starting. Bottom line, I was able to get into my Mud and exit with no problems.

I'm calling this a fix--so far.

Thanks.
