Fonts and weird windows |
Hello,
1. I have a window opened to catch tells. The font is Courier. Is there a way to change this? Changing the fonts under Preferences -> Font doesn't work. I tried opening the *.mud file with notepad to change it manually, but no luck either.
2. The tells captured to this window are the same colour as the mud output-ted tells. Is there a way to disable this? I want it all gray, for example.
3. Additionally, this is weird (also for the window described above).
#va test bob|tom
#tr {{@test}} {#cw hotpink}
Whenever Bob or Tom sends me a tell, instead of
Bob tells you:
I get
tells you:
When I highlight the line, "Bob" shows up. Apparantly it changed to the background colour. This doesn't happen if @temp has a single entry, only if it's a list.
4. Is there a keyboard shortcut to switch between windows, or to minimize/maximize the windows within Zmud?
5. Is there a way to get rid of the border on the status window? Or other windows within Zmud?
6. Is there a way to get rid of the caption/title on top of the main mud output window and any other windows? Like the status window... it doesn't have a caption.
7. Out of curiousity, how many windows do you people usually have open, and consider "essential" for your mudding experience?
Thanks in advance. :)

1. It will work, but you have to click in the window you want to set the preferances for, and you will need to save that window with its preferances if you want to keep them.
2. Same as before when in preferances for the child window, change the 'zMUD Info messages' color
3. This is a known bug (i think) having to do with #CW, #CAP and hexidecimal colors. (It changes any non ansi color to black)
7. I use one main window and a host of smaller windows tabbed together at the top for the various important things i need to keep track of each session (varies from mud to mud, some only have one extra, some has as many as 7 up top) |

2. If you are using the #CAPTURE command then colors will transfer as well, read the help for #WINDOW then try changing your script. Default color is also window adjustable and requires following the procedure Shalimar described.
4. CTRL-TAB switches between windows, but you can macro any key want and use the #MENU command, the #WINDOW command, or the focus character (defaults to : see help Multiplaying) to switch windows.
5. No
6. No |

Regardless of what mud I'm playing (at least among those I do play), I have to have a thoughts window, a login/logout window, a buttonbar window (full of common commands and a few user-defined ones), and a character info window. I sometimes need an extra window to hold my exp/skills list.
As far as specialty windows go, I have a death window (Dragonrealms) and an empathic transfer window (Dragonrealms). |
