trigger help

I play on a mud with a skill that recharges every 24 real life minutes, which relates to 24 game hours. Im trying to write a reliable trigger that will track when the skill has replenished itself either by grabbing the mud time or using the zmud clock.

command: assassinate
used: available again 24 minutes after usage

output of attempted assassinate during recharge period:
Assassination requires intense preparation.
You may only attempt to assassinate someone once a day!

successful hit:
With practiced ease and lightning reflexes, you plunge an enchanted khanjari dagger into a stray dog's back. Shocked, he slumps to the ground and shudders, before breathing no more.
(thats using "an enchanted khanjari dagger" on "A stray dog".)

command time:
output of time:
It is 12pm, on the Day of Freedom
The 4th Day of the Month of Eleint (the Fading), Year 487.
Time elapsed since boot-up: 2:57:03
Current time is: Thu Nov 6 00:31:50 2003 (EST)

This should be simple
Whenever you use the skill
execute
#ALARM +24:00 { #ECHO You got the spell back }

#trigger {With practiced ease and lightning reflexes, you } {#alarm "assassinate" {+24:00} {#say You are ready to assassinate}}
I think my trigger is fine but my alias returns garbage
#alias {check} {#show ID:%alarm(assassinate)}

also, how do i clear the alarm?
