Strange Visual changes. |
I have a series of maps of the MUD I play in. Many rooms in this MUD have totems implanted, a player created addition to a room that serves as defense. I made a room type to represent these totems, using edit shape to put a brown rectangle vertically through the square of the room. Prior to the new version, this worked beautifully. However now, if I assign a color to the room, the rectangle goes transparent. I can see the outline of it but the fill color is overridden by the room color.

I'm just trying to help so if this is wrong i'm sorry.
But, I recreated pretty much what you said.
I made a shape, put it through the box, however it worked fine at first
To make an outline like you say I had to make the "Background" box on the palette to create the rooms. If you change it to "Default" it goes back to being grey/brown/pink/purple whatever color you picked.
Hope this helps.. If it doesn't your permitted to point and laugh at me :-P |

I went into properties and saw my mistake. I had "override fill color" checked. All set, and thanks for your input!

Yep, the "override fill color" was a new option added and I had to pick a default value for it, which is on. These kind of things will happen during the early part of a product's beta period.
