Zmud Problem

I have recently reset up zmud and cannot seem to connect to any muds. If I use a standard telnet program it connects fine, but in zud mud it never seems to be able to connect.

Do you have any type of proxy or firewall setup that would interfere with zMud?
Do the ping and lookup buttons in the character creation screen work? |

I think I fixed it. Im on XP and it had the auto firewall setup. When I turned it off it started working ok.
