Aplication Error W/XP

"ZMUD caused an access violation in wdmaud.drv at 0x72d2249c."

I have been getting this message for a while now basicaly since i started using XP. I very rarely ever get zmud to open up without showing this message and causing it to crash. I've spent well over 4 hours searching through the internet thinking it's a windows problem but can't seem to find anything that will fix it. Updated everything. drivers, windows update, etc. Anyone have any idea what's up? nothing in the FAQ's on this ethier.

this is zmud v4.62 running on xp professional. Thanks for your time :)

4.62? That's a bit old...upgrade to the v6.62 model which works proper on XP, and upgrades are free for life :)

Have you tried disabling sound in zmud? wdmaud.drv appears to be a sound driver for sound cards, perhaps you need drivers from the manufacturer.
