#if (warning, this is a loaded question) |
here is the deal. on the mud, examine slar produces this:
The mighty Slar stands over 8 feet tall. His eyes fix on you and chills shoot up your back. His 10 foot tail drapes to the floor and curves at its tip. Long spikes thrust outwards from his back. These spikes appear quite sharp and dangerous. A small cloud of smoke forms in front of the Slar's nostrils with each of its long, heavy breaths.
Attack the Slar? It'll be your funeral.
He is slightly hurt.
He looks notably clumsy.
The Slar is carrying:
The Slar bears the mark of Source.
The Slar's Plate (worn).
A Fist Hammer (wielded two-handed).
__
so here is the deal, twards the bottom is says " The slar bears the mark of source." This is very important, I need it to note that it is sigiled. I have it doing this so far, when it sees that it is changing @slarbears to 1 from zero. Then I drew this #if statement.
#if {@slarbears = 1} {slarout} {kill slar}
slarout is the exit alias. The goal is to have it kill slar, or leave, all dependent on the sigil (@slarbears). I am having problems due to the fact that the examine trig is looking for "KIll slar? it would be your funeral." and the bearing statment appears after this fact. Any ideas would be great on how to do this. |

A delayed action is the obvious choice.
#TR {^Attack the Slar? It'll be your funeral.} {#VAR slarbears 0}
#COND {} {#IF (@slarbears = 1) {slarout} {kill slar}} {Wait|Param=2000}
#TR {^The Slar bears the mark of Source.} {#VAR slarbears 1} |
