Enterkey on Numberpad |
Is there anyway at all I can make this key a macro?
I just converted from tt++ to ZMud and the change will be completely painless if I can just make that "Enter" key on the numberpad send the mud the text "Down"
Thanks. |

As far as I know you can't. Zmud will not allow it.
But I am sure some guru might get a "bright" idea and tell you some way to do it.
In the mean time why not just use the 'decimal' button if you do not wish to use the defalt 'key add' |

I've been mudding for a long time (longer than I'll admit to), so I'm a bit set in my ways. My ways including my keypad setup. I appreciate the reply, but if I map the . to down, everytime I want to know who I have in pk I'll be trying to walk down. *snicker*

I am sorry I have looked into it and I still find no way to do this.
Try the decimal point. learn to deal with it. Don't do anything.
I truly am sorry. |

As far as I can tell, that key is named ENTER. Of course, that's the same name as the regular Enter key. It is possible to make a macro for ENTER, using the #KEY command from the command line, but zMUD ignores it even with Prefs set to Allow Any Key To Be Macro. Probably a good thing, since your habits probably include using the standard Enter key as the Enter key, and that's a lot harder to replace than Down.
I understand that habits are difficult to change, but it appears you have no choice. The standard setup for zMUD is "u" on the numberpad - key and "d" on the numberpad + key, which works well for most people. |
