Clear screen |
I'm not sure how the mud would do this but it appear the mud I playe is able to clear portions of my scrollback buffer upon character death/leaving the game about 15 lines of text are removed. This is a little frustrating because if you are PKed quickly you can't see who did it. ANyone know of a way around this other than ALWAYS logging your mudding sessions? Thanks in advance!

I have read your other message about the word Delta being gaged, is it possible that this is and #Alias? if it is ,that could be why you do not see anything during death.
You really need to go through your script and find all occurences of #gag
If you need help export you scripts and copy and past here and I will look them over or Email them to me. |

I've since fixed the gagging problem and and still have the clear screen issue. Any other ideas?

In cause you haven't, I would start with the mud admins.
If you can figure out what the mud is doing to clear your buffer, then maybe you can figure out a way to bypass it.
Since I know the host can do this with regular Telnet, you may have to change your telnet emulation to something else. I haven't messed around with this option yet, but if all else fails, this may be a possiblity. |

I've talked to the Admin the mud sends a clear screen. Shouldn't the info in the buffer stay even with a clear screen? Anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Try to capture their clear screen command
Maybe set a trigger to egnore it or to sub it.
It is interesting though, I have never encountered a mud that could MAKE zmud do anything without your promission. |

I did some more searching on the Forum and found the problem/fix. I disabled my VT102 emulation and the problem was fixed! All is well again. Thanks for the input guys
