!!SOUND vs the Coder |
My first post here so Greetings to all.
I'm a mud developer/coder and am trying to get the mud a bit more zmud friendly by implementing !!SOUND code into the combat and magic systems. But I'm running into a bit of a snag.
If I send the !!SOUND to an individual as a single message, it works great, but if that !!SOUND is sent in the same second as any other message before it, eg:
Hp: 830(830)
!!SOUND(swoosh.wav)
You dodge Johnaton's attack!
then that's literally what they see, the !!SOUND instead of hearing it...
Has there been any fix (or complaints even) for that? I'm sure I could go through and set the sound to activate first in any heartbeat, but that's not going to fix mishaps such as lag or other simple errors that causes the previous heartbeat (or any other non-heartbeat) message(s) to come in the same text-block.
Help?
