#zchat.call and MM2K

Is there a way to command-line #zchat.call a MM/MM2K user without having to go into zChat and specifying them as an MM user? Maybe like a -mm switch or something?

zMUD/zChat tries to connect with the MM chat protocol first. Only if that fails will it then connect using the zChat protocol. So, this should be automatic.

It should be automatic (or so the help files say), yet it isn't. Maybe they reworked the MM2K chat protocol? I don't know. All I know is in order to call someone who uses MM2K, I must do it from within zChat itself, and specify the user as an MM user.

When the author wrote MM2K, he changed the chat protocol to prevent zChat from working. So, zChat isn't able to detect that MM2K users are using the MM chat protocol, so then zChat tries to use the zChat protocol instead. I don't know why he did this, but I've never gotten any answer from him. So, since I don't plan any further development for zChat, it's only going to work with MM users and not with MM2K. Unless someone else wants to write a new plugin Wink
