Newbie Question about echo

What I want to do seems pretty simple to me, but even after searching and reading all documentation available I cannot find the answer.
What I want to do:
create an echo after a creature.
A large orc.
I want to add:
A large orc. (level 1)
When I make a trigger with #echo it always comes out
A large orc.

The command your looking for is #SUB
