Settings of the mapper for walking

Ok, im still trying to get walking on Achaea working!

I've got a whole city mapped out, i want to be able to double click a shop or whatever and go there instantly, but remember that Achaea doesnt like getting more than 2 or so directions at once, otherwise it gives you
"Now now, don't be so hasty!"

Soo, I went to EDIT > MAP PROPERTIES > SPEEDWALKING and I changed the speedwalking mode to SLOW

Then I typed
#TRIGGER {exits} {#OK}

I also changed the auto timeout delay thing to about 10000 as I often get bad lag.

I thought this would work, but I dont think the slow walk is working properly, this is what happens:

I know where I am on the map, i've got my location set on the map and I know the room I want to go to, so I double click that room on the map, I then whatch as this happens:

596h, 668m ex-s
Protean Way by duck pond.
Directly to the west a lovely bit of greenery distracts citizens of Ashtan from
the normal grim and dirt of city life. The trinkling of water can be heard from
this vantage point. The homes across from the park sell for high prices due to
their locations. Each appears to be three stories high with tall columns
reaching the second floor. Low bushes, perfectly groomed and clipped mark the
pathways up to the homes. Over some of the doors a bronze plaque bears the name
of the family who resides within. A sewer grate looms darkly beneath your feet.
A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground.
You see exits leading north, south, and west.

596h, 668m ex-
Protean Way northeast of Polygnotus Way.
Visible above the buildings of Ashtan stands the Imperial Complex on a hill in
the centre of the city. Shining brilliantly the complex has no comparison in
the city and few outside it. It is definitely a marvel of architecture and
creativity. A high wall surrounds the complex as to keep out intruders and even
from this vantage point you can spot the tiny figures of guards pacing it. To
the southwest Polygnotus Way begins. It is lined with the homes of the middle
class merchants of Ashtan. Each of the homes bears significant resemblance to
its neighbour. They are uniform in style and design in typical middle class
fashion. A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground.
You see exits leading north, southeast, and southwest.

As you can see its still sending multiple directions at once and not waiting to get the ok before it sends the next one, why is it doing this and how do i stop it? (I also tried SAFEWALK mode but that seemed to do the exact same thing!)

-Thanks for any advice or help you can give :)

Try removing your trigger, and any other that sends #OK. The mapper should create it's own trigger to send #OK based on the room name for the next room in the slow walk.

I deleted my triggers and put it into slow walk mode, then double clicked on a room, this is what happens now:

741h, 188m ex-se
Southeast of Central Market.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. A runic
totem is planted solidly in the ground. Any dwarf would be shocked to see this
dwarven battle axe lying discarded here. A mounted archer is here, ready to
fight with bow and arrow or sword.
You see exits leading north, east (open door), south, west, and northwest.
741h, 188m ex-
With a squeak, a young rat darts into the room, looking about wildly.
741h, 188m ex-
Ortanis arrives from the south.
A water weird glides in from the south.
741h, 188m ex-
Ortanis leaves to the north.
A water weird glides out to the north.
741h, 188m ex-
(Newbie): Juliet says, "Have you trained your skills, Managa?"
741h, 188m ex-Slow walking aborted

As you can see, the first direction was entered, and moved, then there was a long pause, then it said Aborted...Whats up with that?

I tried in safe mode too but that just spammed all the directions at once

My guess is that the trigger for the room name is not being created correctly. Look at the System|Automapper or System|AutomapperAll class (I can't remember which one right now), right after you start the slow walk and it issues the first direction. See if there is any trigger there and the pattern it has.

If that doesn't work, then you could maybe try again with your own trigger. However, this time put some message into the trigger so that you know when it fires. Make sure that it is not firing more than once per room for one reason or another.
